MIchael Jackson Is Dead

I just read over at Yahoo! that Michael Jackson died of cardiac arrest at a LA hospital. He was brought there after firemen responded to a 911 call. He was 50

Farrah Fawcett best known in our country because of her role in the hit TV series Charlie's Angels. Her trademark hair and smile made her a popular poster girl of her time. She posed for Playboy when she turned 50.

She succumbed to Anal Cancer which was diagnosed last 2006. The cancer was removed but traces where found on 2007. She had her battle withe disease documented in a TV series. She was 62.

This is almost all over Yahoo! Sports. It is a big deal in terms of the dollars involved. Suns owner Robert Sarver would be relieved of the big payroll he gives. I do not think Shaq really would work out in Phoenix, but in Cleveland, it might. The Suns will get Ben Wallace who may buy out and choose to retire and Sasha Povlovic.

Its more of a gamble for Cleveland who choose to built up around their superstar and prevent him from leaving since Shaq is past his prime at 37.

I cannot wait the antics they will do during pre-game.

Who Is Colby Curtin?

Photo from: Katu.com

Pixar has made CGI movies that are heartwarming and are for the family. I guess they never thought that they will touch someone's life like what they have done to Colby Curtin and her family.

Colby Curtin was diagnosed with vascular cancer. She has seen the previews of Pixar's movie Up and wanted to see it before she dies. Family friends made the effort of contacting Pixar and Disney to make the wish come true. On June 10 representative of Pixar flew in from their office at San Francisco with a DVD copy of the movie, stuffed toys, as scrapbook and some memorabilia. She then only had hours to live. She was too weak to watch the movie but her mother was there to describe what was going on. She died hours later.

Pixar has a big heart and so did the employee who was sent to deliver the DVD. The scrapbook according to her mother will be filled with adventures for her. Colby Curtin was just 10 years old.

Lakers: 2008-2009 NBA Champions

I am, like I have said before hates Kobe Bryant. We'll the Lakers won, obviously I was cheering for Magic to win this one. I hate it that they won the series but I felt they deserved it. They deserved it because of a lot of things... which is mostly Magic's fault. I am not saying that they lacked the talent but I guess this is where the experience comes in. Take for example the layup at the second game which may have saved them. On an ordinary season game, they may have made that shot. Another obvious one was when Nelson was guarding Fisher when he hit the clutch shot that sent the game to over time. It was indeed a gamble not to foul Fisher. Stan Van Gundy call not to foul, may be right and may have its merits but Nelson should have guarded Fisher closer and not have given him a big room square up for a shot...

We'll that's life. There is always another year.

David Carradine Passes Away

He is known as the Grasshopper when he was still a student of Kung Fu in the 70's TV series "Kung Fu". He then headed his legion of assassins as Bill. He always fit those roles like glove. Unfortunately he may have suffered from a little typecasting. He plays the creepy old man who at times good but may have some evil intentions at the back of his mind.

He was found dead by Bankok police in an apparent suicide. We was in Thailand filming for a movie Stretch. He was 72.
