James Jones And A Pair Of Four Point Plays

James Jones did an amazing (he may also be lucky) two 4-point plays in 11 seconds during the Miami and Atlanta game. Although a great watch the Reggie Miller vs New York sequence is still my favorite.

Who is Hollie Steel?

Image from: Timesonline

Last time I asked the question who is Susan Boyle and now, who is Hollie Steel? This little girl fooled everyone including me that she would be singing on "Britain's Got Talent". When she then stopped dancing and started singing did she showed her true talents.

People say that she will give Susan Boyle a run for her money. I would love to see this talented girl win it this season. We heard a lot of news about Ms Boyle and her madness for attention (she lied or joked about a lot of things to get the attention she enjoys right now).

I hope this little girl wins. She is refreshing, angelic and innocent. Just what the world needs now. :)

NBA's Below The Belt

Ray Allen gave Varejao an elbow below the belt, if you know what I mean. You do not see this a often in basketball... He seemed not shaken thou.

Who is Susan Boyle? Perhaps you will remember her name in the near future. She sang "I Dreamed A Dream" for Les Miserables in "Brtain's Got Talent". Unfortunately the embedding was disabled but I have the link to her video in YouTube below. Do not be fooled by her looks, but she has a voice that may put professionals to shame.

She is 47 years old, lives alone with her cat pebbles and has never been kissed!

Megamouth Found In Philippine Waters

One of the rarest sharks in the world, The Megamouth was found swimming in Philippine waters.... it was caught and then butchered. So rare that it was only found in 1976. The shark was found in the waters of Donsol. A place of sanctuary of its distant cousin, the Whale Shark. Yes, sadly this story is very common here in the country and to think that this happened in a protected area. Not too long ago Whale Sharks were hunted and butchered for its meat until the locals found out that they can be a source of income in the form of tourism.

These stories would make you feel ashamed of what is going on in our country. What we lack here is education. If the fishermen were aware that what they had was an endangered species, then they would not have caught it in the first place. This is the 41st sighting of these and we are fortunate to have them swimming in our waters which gives us a high probability that there could be more swimming in the deep.

Time is of the essence, I hope that this will be the last....

Earth Day 2009

Did you cast your vote last March 28 for the Earth? We turned off hour lights for a little over an hour last Saturday in support of Earth day. I just read the news that we topped other countries in terms of saving in electricity. That would mean more coal or oil to be spared. Not all our neighbors participated thou. Nevertheless it is our small way of helping out mother earth.
