Tinted Windows

Here is another Audioslave/Velvet Revolver in the making: Tinted Windows

The Band:

  • Taylor Hanson (Vocals) - Hansons
  • James Iha (Guitar) - Smashing Pumpkins
  • Adam Schlesinger (Bass) - Fountains of Wayne
  • Bun E. Carlos (Drums) - Cheap Trick
To be honest I only recognized James Iha and Taylor Hanson, only when I read that one of the Hansons is a member. I am not sure how to categorize their music. Seemed like pop to me.

My issue is that I cannot make of their music as of now. I got this clip out from Yahoo! Music. Maybe anyone out there can help me figure them out.

Its Lebron's Turn For A Crazy Shot

After blogging about Dwight Howard's crazy 75 feet shot, here comes Lebron James doing his own crazy shot from way downtown. What are these people eating???

Porsche 911 vs Nissan GTR vs Ferrari 360

Here is clip of what the Nissan GTR can do against a Porsche and a Ferrari. I am in favor of the Porsche and the Nissan. You can get more HP out of the GTR and could beat the Porsche. Too bad there is a limit as to how many horses you can get from any Japanese race cars. I hope they can do away with the gentleman's agreement of 280 Hp.

I think the Nissan may have won the race. It had its chances but was blocked by the other 2 cars.

This guy is definitely a freak... From Ball Don't Lie, a shot made 75ft away from the basket. Let's see how he would do from the parking lot.

Phoenix In Another 140 Game But Minus Amar'e

Looks like I spoke to soon when I said that the Suns are off to a good start after the All Star Break. Stoudemire had just come of from a successful surgery to repair his partially detached retina. The real bad news is that he could be out for 8 weeks. That sucks since the trade deadline has just ended.

Leandro Barbosa stepped up as a starter and scored a career high 41 points. He helped the Suns reach the 140 point mark for the 3rd straight game. A feat never been done in 18 years. Watch the recap below.

Shaq and Nash Dance Routines

There are 2 funny basketball players out there. Shaq and Steve Nash. See clips of them goofing off. You could also compare, who's the better dancer.

Steve Nash is the funnier of the two.

I was so amused with how things turned around for the Suns that I hope that this will continue. Below are the highlights which I got while surfing for video. The game was not shown by our cable provider.

Things are running well with the Suns that even Dragic had a great 2 handed dunk.

All I can say is that this freaked my out a little. I have never seen mascots getting injured before but this one is pretty rare.

Phoenix To Rise From The Ashes

Terry Porter was fired last Sunday and was replaced by Alvin Gentry. This meant that Phoenix will go back to their old running self (and hopefully winning self). Gentry's debut and second game as a Phoenix head coach was a preview (or a flashback) of the things to come. The LA Clippers was at the receiving end of some furious offense.

Below is a piece of what happened in their first game after the All Star break where Zach Randolph was ejected due to a punch thrown at Louis Almundson. Probably frustration set in.

Shaq Leaves Dwight Howard In The Dust

Shaq still has some in his tank. Diesel that is! Great pass and finish from the big guy from Phoenix.

Lebron may join the 2010 Slam Dunk Contest. I hope that he brings new dunks or at least make old dunks look spectacular than just another redo. Let's face it, the dunks seemed to look the same.

Star Trek The Movie (2009)

I have been a fan of Star Trek, and now they have joined the prequel bandwagon of movies. The movie is about the beginnings of the legendary Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock. As shown in the
preview, it shall showcase improved visual effects.

For more info on the characters visit this resource page.

I have been surfing the web for trailers of upcoming movies and found another much awaited film, Wolverine. Hugh Jackman once again plays Wolverine, one of Marvel's most popular characters. In the clip below, you may recognize some characters in the Marvel universe such as Sabertooth and Gambit.

I have been searching for some info on this movie for some time now. The latest I figured was its planned release date of August 09. Below is a clip which contains info on the main casts. Knowing is half the battle.

Its Valentines Day. I never believed in this holiday. Most people get all fuzzy inside on this day of the year. Frankly it is all just commercialism. You could have "Valentine's Day"any day of the year if you want but people gets suck to having it on February 14.

This brings us to an item I do not like giving, flowers. Flowers fetch an incredibly high price every Valentine than any other year, particularly roses. I am not a fan of flowers as a gift, really. I would choose a gift that the person could use or keep as fresh for a long time. Unless she does gardening I would give her flowers, together with the shoots for growing.

1995 Slam Dunk Contest

Here is a clip which I got from Ball Don't Lie at Yahoo. Those who cannot wait until the all star week starts at Phoenix, here is a glimpse of the 1995 Slam Dunk Contest. These dunks were not that good compared to the past event or even in the games. We'll at least you get to enjoy what Shaq is wearing.

You may notice that this was held also in Phoenix.

I feel bad that I only had 4 posts for February. It has been a busy year so far for me. A client visited our office and a lot of work piled up. I have a new boss. Which is not a bad thing. Now I have someone to shield me from higher management and speak at our behalf. I think the biggest impact that he has so far is direction. And that is good.

Still with or without him we are still loaded with work. We are closely watching our profits since it is expected that it will be a tough year for the companies. Our fingers are crossed, hoping for the best but preparing for the worst.

Bynum Injured Again

Too bad for the Lakers, Andrew Bynum is out again due to another knee injury. Last season he was out with the same injury against the same team. It looks as if Brynt accidentally fell on Bynum's knee.

I have been busy lately and was not able to post much. So let me start the month off with some pictures and blog from Nicole's first studio pictures. She is really cute so it would be a shame not to have her photos in a studio. We chose Picaboo to do her pics since we see their studio many times whenever my wife goes out to get supplies.

Ain't she cute?
