I am starting to convert myself as more responsible citizen of the planet. If I were given the power to save the environment, I would start with the seas. If you like snorkeling or even better, diving you will love the Philippines. For someone who likes to swim and to snorkel, it would be fitting that I should start there first.
We all know that we are part of the Coral Triangle, the most diverse underwater ecosystem in the planet. In an article in Yahoo! it was named as the Amazon of the Sea! As I was browsing through the web for some writings about this region, I came across the coraltriangle.org. Which is an organization based on different parts of the triangle except the Philippines. They have done great work in eliminating blast fishing and helped in the growth of live corals in their area.

An organization like this is much needed in our country whose citizens needs to educated on conservation and sustainable develpment. Probably internal conflicts such as war in the south and corruption in the government or probably the will power of our people has hindered us to progress in the area. That my friend makes me so sad....
