I tried to maintain another blog about my interest in automobiles that later I found out that I can only do one. I am already having difficulties updating this blog and almost completely forgotten about the other. Now I have decided to put things in order and talk about everything here.
I would like to start of with my car. My car is one of the most interesting items I own and I have used it daily for 6 years now. After I got my first job I told myself that I would get a car. Which I did fortunately.
I got myself a 1992 model Toyota Corolla. Car enthusiasts out there call it by its body code AE92. Here in the Philippines it is well known as the "Small Body Corolla". I got it from our neighbor who used to be one of the producer and brother of the host of the "Auto Extreme" which used to be shown in RPN 9. These people love their cars very much and knows their stuff. A lot of things in this car were already included when I bought it last October 30, 2002.
Now that the color has faded, when I got it it was painted with shinny Mica Red. It has a sunroof installed. Driving it opened in the countryside is great, you get to feel the cool fresh breeze. The rims are ROTA with TOM's and Spoon stickers on the spokes, go figure. The front is different as they installed an FX Face. The FX face is seen on AE92 hatch backs.

The interior is modest. The only items that it has out of the ordinary is the Red Momo Apache steering wheel and the Auto Gauge Racing Tachometer on the driver side.
The engine used to be a 5af. Which is carburetor 16 valve at 1500cc displacement. Now I consider the my car at version 2.5. Version 2 since I had the engine swapped with a 7a + 4age Silver Top head which then I had rewired and converted to MAP.
My wife affectionally calls it "Car".
