What would a guy do if his girlfriend whom his life revolves around her suddenly calls it quits?
Forgetting Sarah Marshall is a comedy that deals with breaking up and moving on. It stars Jason Segel ("How I Met Your Mother"), who also wrote the movie; Kristen Bell and Mila Kunis ("That 70's Show") as the main characters.
Jason Segel who plays Peter was left devastated after his girlfriend Sarah played by Kristen Bell leaves him for another man. He then find ways to forget her until he decides to go on vacation to Hawaii. Just as when he thinks he can finally forget all about her, he then finds out that his ex-girl friends is also there with his new beau, a British front man. With the help of front desk Rachel played by Kristen Bell he learned how to move on, enjoy his stay and more.
The flow of the story is interesting. The humor is OK. It was not hilarious or anything but the movie will make you laugh with its antics. The movie kept my eyes on the screen. The movie to some extent it is unpredictable. Like, you will know that he will end up being near to his ex but will have no idea how each of the scenes end up. Everything that could go wrong could happen in an unexpected way. The movie makes the viewer wait for the next thing that could happen. There were a few scenes that were sexual in nature and a full frontal nudity that Jason did that did not matter to the story or gave relevance.
I cannot say that it is a chick flick. Without the sex and the nudity, it could probably be categorized as a chick flick. Overall a good movie to watch especially at your home.
